At the crossroads of the Mediterranean since the beginning of time with first recorded settlements as far back as 7000BC. The Maltese Islands have been coveted by historic empires for their enviable and strategic position within the Mediterranean Sea.

Today, the importance of the islands is no less than it was then with the Maltese Merchant Flag becoming the Third Largest in the World and by far the largest within European States. As a member of the European Union since 2006 the nation offers Superyacht owners tax efficient ownership structures which are fast making the 8 pointed white cross on crimson ensign the flag of choice for Superyacht Owners.

The islands are only a couple of days sailing from the foremost yachting destinations of the Mediterranean making them an ideal base for charter departures and wintering. Cost effective facilities and a diverse service offering allow Captains to concentrate on the more important tasks at hand.

CRUISING THE MALTESE ISLANDS

The Maltese Archipelago consists of three islands with the island of Malta, currently inhabited by around 370,000, being the largest.  The Island furthest to thr North is Gozo which is more rural, greener and has a population of around 30,000. Comino, a  small island  set in emerald coloured waters is set between Malta and Gozo. Four people live here all year round. The sea around Malta is statistically the second cleanest in the Mediterranean. This offers a spectacle for snorklers and divers. The Islands have a multitude of secure inlets any yacht can berth in.

SECURING A BERTH

Whatever size you’re on we’ll adapt a berth for you. Options vary from berths just below the largest collection of flood lit and well conserved bastion walls to berths in the Yacht Marina in Gozo. Advance notice will help, especially during the summer months.

BERTHING AND SERVICES AT BERTH

We’re on standby from the moment you call to book a berth. We’ll verify documentation and ascertain a straight forward berthing procedure. We will be there to meet, greet and assist.

The size of the Island is an advantage to us. Facilities are never unavailable and nothing takes much time to organise. Marinas as well equipped, fuel bowsers will arrive whenever you need them and from the moment you berth we’ll be set and you can forget the rest.

DOCKING & WINTERING FACILITIES

On a very positive note, Malta is one of the few remaining places world-wide where skilled craftsmen are still around and happy to demonstrate their skills through their work. Moreover, all native Maltese persons speak English and a good percentage of us also speak a second language. Malta prides itself with the ability to produce excellent quality works in a timely frame and above all at very competitive prices.
